Our
story begins over 18 years ago, when founder Laila Remtulla
first discovered a significant gap in the market for high
quality, authentic Eastern meals. Coming from a family of
professional cooks, Laila soon put her culinary skills to
use in her kitchen at home, developing a range of mouth-watering
dishes for local companies. As
Laila's reputation quickly spread, demand for the freshly
prepared meals grew phenomenally, forcing her to quickly
source new premises for the business.
Laila continued to produce and supply the meals regionally, adding pubs and restaurants
to her client list. In 1999 Laila's husband Nazir joined the company, and by
the Spring of 2000 they had achieved their first national contract. In September
2000 they moved to a larger factory and in 2003, Laila and Nazir's eldest daughter
Zera joined the company to further develop the business.
Laila's fine foods continues to grow steadily and today's product range has evolved
to include the best of both Eastern and Western cuisine.
